Non-travelers can still be tested at this location. Proof of travel is also required to use traveler testing and might include a boarding pass or other travel documents. Utah residents can get the tests for free if they can prove residency with documents like state-issued identification, a utility or credit card statement or a tax notice with a mailing address. Rapid PCR and rapid antigen results are typically available in 30 to 60 minutes. PCR results are typically available within 24 to 48 hours, according to a press release from the Utah Department of Health. Signs at the location will direct visitors to the traveler testing area with options for PCR, rapid PCR and rapid antigen tests.
Travelers are responsible for knowing what type of test is required for their destination - available at cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/index/html - and can get tested at the site near the Utah State Fairgrounds between 7 a.m.
Not far from the Salt Lake City International Airport a COVID-19 test site is open for travelers at 288 N., 1460 west.
